The Mackie glamour reaches the pinnacle of fantasy with his extravagant collectible Barbie Doll series. Each year his legion of fans anxiously await the new Bob Mackie Barbie Doll. In fact, Mackie’s status is reflected in the collectible doll market, as many of these dolls are worth in excess of $1,000 each. In 2005 and 2006 Mackie designed the highly coveted Holiday Barbie doll. For 2007, Mackie has designed three Cher dolls reflecting three decades of the superstar’s career (70’s, 80’s and Today), which promise to be equally popular.
